Ben recently moved to Squamish and is a graduate of the University of British Columbia with a Master of Physical Therapy. Prior to that, he completed a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (Honours) at the University of Victoria.
Having rehabbed through numerous injuries himself, Ben understands the importance of working with each person to develop an easy to understand and personalized rehabilitation program that will get them back to doing what they love!
In his treatments, Ben utilizes a combination of manual therapy, exercise prescription, personal and clinical experiences, shockwave therapy, and patient education to ensure that each person receives the care and knowledge they require to recover successfully and safely.
In particular, Ben has a special passion for all things related to climbing performance and rehabilitation, and runs a climbing physio Instagram account (@climber.physio) in an effort to share his knowledge. To ensure you achieve your goals, he frequently engages in continuing education courses such as the performance climbing conference, Canadian climbing symposium, & finger physiology and rehab.
Beyond his passion for climbing, Ben has spent years participating in individual and team sports. Growing up, Ben was a competitive hockey and lacrosse goalie, as well as squash player. Now, when not in the clinic, he’s most often found rock climbing, playing board games, enjoying the mountains, or working to keep his skis together on the slopes!
